So girls, how exactly is this long-distance book club meeting going to happen? I was thinking about it and I'm a bit confused as to how we are all going to communicate...So it's set for October 13 at my place, around 7:30 Newfoundland Time - Sarah, in response to your question, no we never changed the date or time, we have no reason to...Unless there is something we are rearrange to fit your schedule better? Let us know, there is still time for that. Lisa H, Megs and I will wait and be gluttonous until you are able to make contact :) I have no long distance plan here at home, so does either Sarah or Lisa H or Kate have long distance? I have my laptop and I'll try to find my webcam, we can use that. We can also use Meg's laptop and webcam, although we have had little success with that the last few times we tried, because Mac does not like PC :) Anyone have any suggestions for how to pull this off? I thought of posing questions on the blog site and having everyone respond, then responding to everyone's thoughts, if there was no way we could get in touch through the phone - sort of like a mass blogging session...Thoughts?
Girls, I must say, I really loved all of our Club meetings this past summer...the good food, the good company, the good books, and the moral support that we provide each other with whatever crisis is currently happening in our lives...I must say that now that we can't do it for a while, I miss it terribly...I'm having a case of the "you don't know what you got til it's gone" 's....
Now, time to get ready for work, Thanksgiving was wonderful, but it's over...Back to the daily grind! Love you all.

Hey guys. The 13th is fine for me Lis, I don't have any plans that day, I was just wondering since it was a while ago that it was discussed, just wanted to make sure there were no changes. I agree with you totally Lis, I really miss our meetings and hanging out. Now that I'm here and I don't have any close friends around I realize just how much I love and miss you guys. As for the meeting, I don't have a long distance plan but if your phone is with Rogers it would be free for me to call you. Other than that we could do an msn conference chat where we can all chat in the same window. Is Krista going to be home for a visit that weekend?

I have a calling card I can use. Or if you think that MSN conference would be better, I can do that too... I don't ahve a web cam though, so I'm out on that aspect.
I didn't realize that the 13th was a Saturday, so it doens't matter what time it is, lol.
I was thinking that a MSN conference call would be the best idea. We can have one computer in St> john's with a conversation open for us long distance people. I have my web cam now and Meg and I did get ours working last year but I know the Mac PC thing is tricky. I miss the meetings as well. But this is the next best thing and I can't wait to "see" and talk to everyone again.
