An Introduction

First of all I would like to say to Ms. Fitzgerald I am really pleased and excited that you are now involved in our little club. It is a dream come true for a book club to be able to discuss their current book with the actual author, so we are really amazed and happy that you are reading this!
I know that we are all friends and that you don't know much about us yet so I thought I would you give a little introduction. The five of us have been friends for a number of years, and our book club started in June. It was Krista's idea, she figured that since we all love to read why not read the same books at the same time and have a get-together after each book to discuss it? We are all originally from Newfoundland, Canada and at that point we were all in the St. John's area, but since then many of us have relocated. Lisa A and Megan are still in St. John's, Krista has moved to Corner Brook, Newfoundland, Lisa H moved to Calgary, Alberta and I am now in Rothesay, New Brunswick. My fiancée and I recently completed Education degrees and he was lucky enough to get a teaching job here. Hopefully I will eventually get a job too, in the meantime I will be working as a substitute teacher.
Since we are all scattered around the country we decided to start this blog to keep in touch and discuss what we are reading. "Veil of Roses" is our fifth book, and was chosen by Lisa A. Krista is next and will be choosing a book next month for the second time around. If you have any book recommendations please let us know. :)

Thanks for filling me in on how you began your club -- it seems like it'll be a perfect way for you to keep in touch over the years. I'm in a book club also, and there are about ten of us at any given time. We meet every six weeks or so, usually at someone's house, and we have a blast.

I'll give some thought as to books I could recommend...I'm actually not the greatest at finishing books...but I've recently read three of Jonathan Tropper's books and highly recommend any of them. He provides good insight as to how men think about sex and love. Plan B might be a particularly good one.

Well, I'll comment again soon!
