Yeah, the thought of actually getting to direct questions to the author is really cool! I really liked the book Veil of Roses, so I hope that you all will like it too! How is everyone progressing with the story? Something that I can say without giving too much away for those who haven't read it yet is that I found the book really enlightening about Women's rights in Iran. We hear so much about Iran on the news, but really I know nothing about life in Iran - or I didn't before I read this book. And I find it fascinating and horrifying at the same time. We'll talk about that more at the meeting I'm sure. Speaking of the meeting, it will be on October 13th around 8 pm Newfoundland Time, unless there are any major conflictions with your schedules - let me know if this is an OK date and time, alright?
Should we bother with a theme for this one? Since we're all going to be scattered? Again, I want to know your thoughts.
To the author, if you are keeping up with this, perhaps we could pose questions through this blog as we read the book?

Hi ladies!
I don't know about all the other authors out there, but I do, indeed, get an email sent to me from Google anytime Veil of Roses gets mentioned in a blog. I don't know if I'm being a little overzealous (or paranoid!), but it does enable me to correspond with readers, which I love. I try to attend as many book clubs as I can when I'm invited as a guest author because it helps me as a writer see what it is people like about the story so I can make sure to keep doing it in future novels.
Which is why I emailed after finding your blog. I'd be happy to answer any questions you guys want to post here, and you can also contact me "offline" through the email link on my website.
Glad to hear you're enjoying Tami's story! Love, Laura
